ANZAMEMS exists to promote and foster all aspects of Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Modern Studies in Australia and New Zealand, and to establish and nurture productive professional friendships between scholars working in these areas.
ANZAMEMS has members from universities in Australia, New Zealand, and all over the world, as well as independent scholars. Membership is open to all interested researchers working in any of the fields of medieval and early modern studies.
Every two years the ANZAMEMS community gathers at a host university in either Australia or New Zealand for our Biennial International Conference in medieval and early modern studies. Our conference allows us to regularly renew our intellectual and friendship ties with our colleagues, warmly welcomes postgraduate students, offers internationally renowned collegiality, and attracts participants from around the world.
The Association actively supports postgraduates and early career researchers by offering Prizes and Bursaries to those attending our Biennial International Conference and through our commitment to fund annual Postgraduate Advanced Training Seminars.
